Wheelchair/Walking Aids Outreach
As part of our mission to promote inclusion, dignity, and equal opportunity, OIFN is committed to improving quality of life for individuals living with osteogenesis imperfecta (OI), commonly known as brittle bones, as well as other disabilities. Through the provision of mobility aids such as wheelchairs and walking supports, we work to reduce the physical, social, and emotional burdens faced by individuals and their families.
Our wheelchair distribution programmes are designed to restore mobility, independence, and hope. By increasing access to appropriate mobility aids, we enable beneficiaries to participate more fully in education, employment, and community life, fostering a sense of belonging and self-worth. These interventions not only improve physical movement but also contribute to better mental and emotional wellbeing by reducing isolation and dependency.
Through our extensive distribution initiatives and sustained community engagement, OIFN empowers individuals, celebrates diversity, and supports positive, long-term social change. We believe that when people can move confidently within their communities, trust and friendship are strengthened, inclusivity is promoted, and communities as a whole become more resilient and compassionate.
We invite you to visit our Facebook page to view videos and photo highlights from our wheelchair distribution activities, as well as testimonials from beneficiaries and their families. These stories reflect the real impact of our work—helping people move with confidence, live independently, and look toward the future with renewed hope.
