OIFN is committed to empowering women, youths and people living with disabilities to live their lives inclusively and pursue their dreams and aspirations. The reason why we provide a platform to train and empower them with the skills and seed funds to escape the social and economic ostracization these individuals face. OIF Network is dedicated to holding these women and youths by the hand, empowering encouraging, advising, retrain them so they can earn and fend for themselves and their children.

Over the years, women with children born with brittle bone disease, also known as OI, have been abandoned by their fathers, leaving only their mums to cater for them which has always turned out to be an extremely difficult process for them, in the course of support, it was decided to carry out an empowerment project where these women can retain, thought new skills or supported with donated used clothes business.

Over the years since the start of these projects, we have sported over twenty women to start their own businesses.

My Success Story:
Mrs. Roberts Dolapo

Osteogenesis Imperfect Foundation Nigeria (OIFN) as a body is God’s sent. They have been very supportive both financially and morally.

First of all I will like to give thanks and glory to GOD, for making it possible for me to meet with OIF Nigeria Family.

It all started in 2018 when our boy Edward Oluwabunmi Roberts had a severe fracture in both limbs, thigh and one arm, I can’t explain how it happen, I was frustrated at the time. I was worried and confused I tried to move my boy to the hospital were his legs and arm would be cast; on getting to the hospital the doctor ask for X-ray, after which the cast was done and I went home with my boy in pains.

As at then I was a teacher in one primary school around my area. The next day I could not even wait at home to look after the boy because I knew the proprietress will query me for staying off work for more than two days. I had to resign and immediately after OIFN came to my rescue.

A seminar was held around that period in which the founder of the OIFN Nigeria Mrs Tarela and the supportive organization came to our rescue providing some items to trade on like used cloths, bags and show in which I used to start up my business which has grown to a remarkable stance now.

The collective support of the OIFN family has got me going and provided me enough time to take care of my loving Edward who is growing intelligently and with less fracture and enough time to take care of my son.

Mrs Tarela Aghanti (Founder OIF Nigeria) was happy I had enough time to take care of Edward and surprised me through OIF Nigeria by establishing me in business. I could not belief it as I was given a lot of items like clothes, shoes, bags, toys and other which I sold.

Thereafter, I put the proceeds into my little business of selling perfumes, makeup kits and jewelleries. This really equipped me and grew the business to what it is today.

I am so happy and really thank God and OIF Nigeria for their intervention and being so supportive, encouraging and kind, to me and my son.

I am so grateful OIF Nigeria.
