Our recent OI Family Fun Day in Hertfordshire was more than just a day of activities—it was a celebration of connection, inclusion, and the strength of our OI community.

Thanks to the generous funding we received, we were able to bring together families and individuals living with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) for a day filled with laughter, support, and shared experiences. The event provided a safe, accessible space where everyone could relax, have fun, and feel understood.

From interactive games and inclusive play areas to informative conversations and quiet moments of bonding, the day offered something special for everyone. Children were able to enjoy activities designed with their needs in mind, while parents and carers had the opportunity to connect, share stories, and build supportive relationships.

Most importantly, the Fun Day helped strengthen our local OI community. It reminded us that we’re not alone—that there are others nearby who understand the unique challenges of living with OI, and who are ready to stand together in support.

The funding played a crucial role in making this event possible, covering costs such as venue accessibility, equipment, and refreshments—ensuring that every family could attend, regardless of their circumstances.

We’re proud of what we’ve achieved together and are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this day so meaningful. The connections made and the memories shared will continue to inspire and support our community long after the event itself.

Looking Ahead

We’re already planning our next gathering—and we’d love to see even more families join us!

Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected future for everyone living with OI in Hertfordshire and beyond.
