This event was created with the aim

To create a form of exercise:

To connect OI carers together, away from their caring role and to connect with other OI careers and to have a  “ME TIME”

To help reduce the stress that comes with the role,

Unwind and relax and, at the same time, dance away and have fun, feeling refreshed and renewed when back to work, as it has been proven that anxiety and despair can be lessened by salsa dancing’s lively music and social interactions. Encourages social interaction: Dancing salsa is a fantastic way to meet new people and form friendships. Dancing with a partner can help you develop your social skills because it calls for cooperation and communication.

Salsa dancing has many physical advantages, but it also enhances mental health. Dancing salsa necessitates memory recall, attention, and concentration since dancers must retain and perform intricate patterns and moves. The general health of the brain, memory recall, and cognitive performance are all enhanced by this mental stimulation. It is also known that salsa dancing causes the natural mood booster endorphins to be released. Movement, social contact, and music all work together to reduce stress, anxiety, and sadness. That is why we thought to support our oi cares with a dance moment.
